amusement park

loving you is like sitting on a rollercoaster ride.

i hate rollercoasters.

you smile at me, and one moment my heart’s soaring, soaring, soaring.

you don’t- it plummets- free falling- down, down, down into the abyss.

i want to leave this amusement park.

but then I see the sunlight weaving through your dishevelled, beautiful locks;

i strap myself onto the seat once again.

flying. falling.

laughing, crying. love, anger. pain, pleasure.

maybe they are all the same.

maybe you can’t have one without the other.

maybe I love rollercoasters.
